Outstanding Student in Women's Health (August 2016)
Students are considered for this award from the Women's Health Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics if they demonstrate the following:
- Participating and providing leadership in WH DPG activities, such as committee service, newsletter contributions, and/or involvement in association activities at district, state and national levels.
- Demonstrating active involvement in health related organizations (professional and voluntary), such as officer and/or committee work in area, state, national organizations.
- Developing, or being a contributor to, innovative approaches to the practice of nutrition in women’s health for research and/or publications.
- Demonstrating involvement in academic coursework, thesis or intent to practice in women’s health.
ACES James Scholar
Undergraduate Research Certificate (May 2015)
Students are required to complete the following during their undergraduate career at the university to receive a Certificate in Undergraduate Research.
- Two (2) presentations of original research at a conference or symposium.
- One presentation must be at the Undergraduate Research Symposium sponsored by OUR that is held every spring semester in April. Students can receive credit by presenting in a group or as a sole presenter.
- Presentations can be in the form of posters, oral presentations, or artistic performances.
- Nine (9) hours of coursework related to undergraduate research.
- Three (3) hours of the course requirement can be substituted by publishing in a peer-reviewed journal, undergraduate research journal, or work on a unit’s undergraduate research journal.
- Attendance at one (1) campus workshop on undergraduate research OR one (1) professional research presentation.
- Students must attend one workshop related to undergraduate research; these are conducted periodically throughout the year by departments, the University Library, and the Office of Undergraduate Research. A one-page summary (approximately 200 words) is required for certification.

Outstanding Senior in Dietetics (Spring 2015)
This award is given to a current senior in dietetics. The student is nominated for this award based on the following characteristics: leadership, scholarship, exceptional community involvement or service beyond the requirements for their degree and may include exceptional GPA, but GPA is not required.

Andrew A. Wicklein Memorial Scholarship (August 2014)
One or more scholarships given annually to a student enrolled in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences from Will County in memory of former Will County Extension Adviser, Andy Wicklein. Preference given to students active in Will County 4-H work.
Robin Orr Food and Nutrition Education Scholarship (August 2014)
Dr. Robin Orr's passion and dedication guided her efforts in directing food assistance and education programs that touched more than one million of Illinois' most vulnerable citizens. She served on numerous state and national committees to guide the development and administration of food program legislation. She also collaborated with fellow researchers and nutrition advocates on subjects including obesity, cancer, hunger, and food policy reform.
The Robin Orr Food and Nutrition Education Fund was established to embody the passion with which Robin approached food and nutrition education and leave that legacy for future generations in the nutrition and dietetics fields.

Jonathan Baldwin Turner Undergraduate Research Scholarship (November 2013)
The ACES Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program is designed to develop and foster student interest in research aimed at solving problems in the agricultural, consumer, and environmental sciences. Eligible students enrolled in the College of ACES are invited to apply for financial support of original research projects.
Through the ACES Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program, you can investigate important scientific problems, generate new knowledge, increase your professional competency, and prepare yourself for even greater challenges in your future career. You can conduct your research project under faculty guidance comparable to that which is given to graduate students. This is an excellent opportunity for you to explore the rapidly expanding frontiers of science and technology, meet major new intellectual changes, and contribute to the development of new scientific knowledge.

ACES James Scholar (August 2011-May 2015)
The ACES James Scholar Honors Program in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences provides a rewarding educational experience for students with exceptional academic skills. Any students meeting objective, published standards of academic achievement may apply to join the Honors Program at least four semesters before their anticipated date of graduation. ACES James Scholars are expected to perform at a superior level throughout their undergraduate careers.
